This homemade tomato chilli sauce is easy to make and tastes just delightful! Use it for spreads, dips, or even as a base for curries and you have a perfect dish.

What do you do when you have extra tomatoes and chillies at home? You can make some tomato soup or if you’re in the mood for something else, try making our tangy Tomato Chilli Sauce. It’s a good spicy replacement for the hot and sweet tomato ketchup or tomato sauce which is everyone’s favorite go-to for a sandwich or a dip. The spicy-sweet and tangy taste of fresh tomatoes is just perfect!

Just replace the readymade or store-bought tomato sauces with our homemade tomato chilli sauce, that’s more natural and healthier too. Not only does the sweet and spicy tomato chutney taste delicious, but it has multiple uses too! And best of all, no cooking involved.

What Ingredients Do You Need To Make Tomato Chilli Sauce?

All you need to make tomato chutney is a few tomatoes, some dry Kashmiri chillies, onions, garlic and salt and sugar to taste.

How To Make Home-Made Tomato Chilli sauce?

Dice the tomatoes, onions, and garlic into smaller pieces. Remove the stems and the seeds from the dry red Kashmiri chillies. Soak the dry chillies in water for a little while.

Add all these ingredients to a food processor or a mixer-grinder and grind to a paste. Add salt and sugar to taste.

The salt and sugar act as preservatives, so you can store this tomato chutney or tomato sauce in the fridge for a few weeks. And quite a bit longer in the freezer.

Just take out a bit of the homemade spicy tomato sauce whenever you need to serve some as a dip or to add as a paste to curries.
